One-way tickets to Iceland on Wow Air are a low, low, low $99 from Washington D.C./Baltimore's BWI airport, which means East Coasters should be booking flights to the nearby winter wonderland right now. At $200 round-trip, these fares are a nearly $250 discount off the usual December prices to Reykjavík. You'll be traveling to the snowy island nation in the off-season so expect access to the famed Blue Lagoon without the crowds and, surprisingly, temperatures in the high 30s, so you won't be much colder than you would be back home. The fares are valid on departures now through January 30 and returns through March 2, so you'll have plenty of time to see the Northern Lights before weather starts to limit visibility in March and April—and the aurora borealis isn't the only natural light show you'll see on your trip. Since Iceland only gets four to seven hours of daylight in the winter months, you'll have a front row seat to breathtaking sunrises and sunsets every day. Waking up at dawn is a lot more appealing when it's at 11 a.m..

To book: You can book this deal from Wow Air directly. Make sure to use their calendar feature to find departure and return dates with $99 fares. Just remember that as a budget airline, you'll have to pay extra to check luggage, select your seat, or bring a large carry-on. You can find a list of the full fees on their site.
