New York Is Getting a 'Spanish Version of Eataly' in 2018

New Yorkers, rejoice—yet another massive food hall is gracing your city. This project, yet to be named, is the "Spanish Version of Eataly," complete with wine and cheese bars, a tortilla stand, and of course, endless tapas. Thanks to D.C.-based chef José Andrés and the Adrià brothers—the chefs behind El Bulli's famed molecular gastronomy—you'll be able to feast on authentic Spanish cuisine as early as October 2018.

The foodie paradise will occupy 35,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor space within the larger Hudson Yard complex, located in midtown west. In addition to "Spanish Eataly," Hudson Yard will also feature 4,000 residences, a luxury hotel, shops (including the flagship Neiman Marcus in NYC) and a public schoolyard. You'll never have to leave, and you won't want to, considering the restaurant lineup on tap. One of the restaurants will focus on putting Spanish pizza, or coca, on the world map, while another will serve traditional Spanish fried food . And Don Draper fans will geek out over Chef Thomas Keller's incoming joint—it's Mad Men-themed. (Cue dramatic intro music.) Chefs David Chang (Momofuku), Costa Spiliadis (Estiatorio Milos), and Michael Lomonaco (Porter House Bar and Grill) are also slated to open restaurants.

Though "Spanish Eataly" won't open its doors for another year or so, there are still plenty of international food halls to satiate your "hungerlust" in the meantime. Head down toward Battery Park to visit Le District—a French marketplace that offers a mind-blowing cheese selection and rich, savory beef bourguignon. Craving Italian instead? Catch a flight to Bologna, Italy, where a $106 million food theme park is opening on November 18. Or you could just stop by the original Eataly, which has locations in downtown Manhattan and in the Flat Iron district. You've got options.
