We've covered a ton of Hawaii flight deals in the past few months, but if you still haven't gotten the hint yet, trips from the mainland U.S. to the islands are pretty cheap right now. Case in point: Hawaiian, Alaska and American Airlines just slashed their round-trip fares from several cities—including Atlanta, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, and Phoenix—to prices in the $400s (L.A. even dropped to $365). Kauai (LIH), the Big Island (KOA, ITO), Oahu (HNL), and Maui (OGG) are all participating in the sale. Booking is valid for August through November travel, varying by departure city. As always, make sure you move fast: the fares will likely be gone by tonight.
Need some trip inspiration? Hotel-wise, start with our Readers' Choice Awards winners—there are gorgeous resorts spread across all islands. Foodies should head to Four Seasons Resort Maui at Waileaon Maui, which offers guests three of the island's top five Zagat-rated restaurants: Wolfgang Puck's Spago is a highlight, as is the kobe beef at DUO Steak & Seafood. As an added bonus, the rooms are sleek and stylish, the cabanas are private, and there's an adults-only infinity pool. However, if your vacation is geared more toward family-friendly fun, Turtle Bay Resorton Oahu is a solid bet. There's surfing, horseback riding, and on-site luaus. Even the spa has options for kids—a separate menu for children and teens includes "Coconut Beach Manicures" and "Clarifying Teen Facials."
In regards to Kilauea, the eruption/ash cloud remains contained to an isolated area of the Big Island, and shouldn't affect your travel there, let alone to any of the other Hawaiian Islands. To be safe, monitor your airline's website in the days leading up to your trip.

To find the cheapest available dates, search in Google Flights and use the calendar tool. If you're flexible about which island you visit, just input Hawaii instead of a specific airport—some islands will have less expensive fares than others—and make sure to select one stop or fewer. The lowest fares will be highlighted in green.
